Career Counseling & Guidance

For teenagers and young adults the future can be a very scary and confusing thought. Career counseling and guidance therapy sessions work to ease this transition. I work with clients to help discuss the anxiety of transitioning through all of the major changes that are about to happen. These include starting high school or college, living on your own, and working to answer the major question, “what do I want to do with the rest of my life?”

In doing so I offer and administer several career based skills and interest inventories as well as personality and core belief assessments. These help assist in discovering what you are interested in and what skills you already have to assist in reaching your goals.

These sessions also work to address issues such as peer pressure, drug and alcohol use and basic generalized anxiety regarding life changes and maturing.

I also provide career counseling for persons who are more settled in a career or those who are looking to transition from a job to a career. These sessions will usually revolve more around issues of job satisfaction and work related stress and anxiety. I provide career and personality related assessments for adults who may be interested in a change of career or for help understanding a proper path to take when making future career choices.
